Product Specification

Hydrogen Peroxide 50% / 60 %/ 35%

Hydrogen Peroxide 50% is a clear, colourless, stabilised oxidising liquid. Also supplied in 60% and 35% industrial grades. It is a clean, chlorine-free oxidant for paper and textile bleaching, water and effluent treatment, mining and electronics. Because it is an oxidiser, it ships in vented UN-approved packaging with full IMDG documentation, COA and GHS SDS.

Grades & Concentrations

Available Grades

Hydrogen Peroxide is supplied in three industrial concentrations. All are UN 2014, IMDG Class 5.1 + 8, PG II and ship in vented packaging.

Grade Concentration Specific Gravity Typical Use
H₂O₂ 35% 35% w/w ≈ 1.13 Disinfection, water treatment, light bleaching
H₂O₂ 50% 50% w/w ≈ 1.20 Paper & textile bleaching, effluent treatment
H₂O₂ 60% 60% w/w ≈ 1.24 High-volume bleaching, lower freight per active O₂

Applications

Key Industry Uses

Where buyers across Africa, the GCC and South Asia deploy hydrogen peroxide.

Paper & Pulp Bleaching
Chlorine-free bleaching of mechanical and chemical pulp for brighter, lower-impact paper and board.
Textile Bleaching
Environmentally friendly bleaching of cotton and blended fabrics in textile pre-treatment.
Water & Effluent Treatment
Advanced oxidation, COD/BOD reduction, odour control and cyanide detoxification in effluent plants.
Mining
Oxidant in gold processing and detoxification of cyanide-bearing tailings.
Electronics & Chemistry
PCB/semiconductor cleaning, epoxidation, and feedstock for perborate, percarbonate and peracetic acid.
Food Sterilisation & Disinfection

Shipping & DG Compliance

Dangerous-Goods Handling

Hydrogen Peroxide is UN 2014, IMDG Class 5.1 (Oxidiser) with subsidiary 8 (Corrosive), Packing Group II. Vented packaging and cool storage are mandatory.

As an oxidiser, H₂O₂ ships only in vented UN-approved HDPE drums or IBCs that release evolved oxygen safely — containers are never sealed gas-tight. Each consignment carries the IMDG DG declaration, UN-marked packing certificate, GHS SDS and third-party COA, with Class 5.1 + 8 labelling. Keep cool and shaded, away from organics, metals, dust and any contamination that catalyses decomposition; never return used product to the container.

Safety & Handling

Storage & Handling

Hydrogen Peroxide is a strong oxidiser and corrosive at these concentrations — handle clean, cool and vented.

⚠️

Strong Oxidiser
Accelerates combustion and reacts with organics/metals. Avoid all contamination; keep work areas clean.

🌡️

Temperature Sensitive
Decomposes faster when warm, releasing oxygen and heat. Store cool, shaded and vented.

🧤

Corrosive — PPE Required
Causes skin/eye burns and whitening. Full face shield and chemical gloves required.

📄

GHS SDS Supplied
GHS-compliant Safety Data Sheet and IMDG DG declaration with every shipment.
Africa, GCC & Asia Demand: Paper and pulp in South Africa, textile bleaching across East African garment hubs, fast-growing municipal water-treatment infrastructure, mining in Southern Africa, and electronics/food-packaging demand in the GCC and Asia.

Buyer FAQ

Common Questions

Which hydrogen peroxide concentrations do you export?
We export stabilised H₂O₂ in 35%, 50% and 60% grades. The exact concentration and active-oxygen content are confirmed on each lot’s third-party COA.
Why must hydrogen peroxide ship in vented packaging?
H₂O₂ slowly evolves oxygen, so containers must be vented to release it safely — they are never sealed gas-tight. We use vented UN-approved drums and IBCs designed for oxidisers.
Is hydrogen peroxide classified as dangerous goods?
Yes. At 35–60% it is UN 2014, IMDG Class 5.1 (Oxidiser) with subsidiary 8 (Corrosive), Packing Group II. Full DG documentation ships with every consignment.
How is product stability preserved during shipping?
Our grades are stabilised, and we ship promptly with cool, shaded stowage. Keeping product clean (free of metals, dust and organics) and cool preserves the assay through transit.
What packaging is available for hydrogen peroxide?
Vented UN-approved HDPE drums (35/50 kg), vented composite IBCs (1000 L) and passivated stainless tanks for bulk offtakes.
What is the minimum order quantity?
One full container load, approximately 18–22 MT per 20-foot FCL. Trial quantities can be arranged for verified industrial buyers.
Which countries do you export hydrogen peroxide to?
Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Africa, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Egypt, with full export documentation on every container.
How should hydrogen peroxide be stored?
In its original vented UN-approved container, cool, shaded and upright, away from organics, metals and contamination. Never reseal gas-tight and never return decanted product to the drum.
